Linocut print by Rebecca Drury.

Original reduction lino print of Kingcombe Meadows. Kingcombe National Nature Reserve in West Dorset is absolutely beautiful, and one of my family’s favourite places to go. The meadows are stunning and full of life. This print depicts many of the wild flowers found there, along with a marbled white butterfly. It is a Limited Edition of 30 prints.

This is printed by hand from a hand-carved lino block using traditional printing techniques in my home in Dorset. It is a four-layer reduction and multi-block linocut, a method of block printing. More lino is removed from the block for each layer and each colour is printed on top of the last. This means that an entire edition must be printed in one go – once you have carved into the block for the next layer, you can’t go back to print more.
